Evangelism and Discipleship Training Trip – Pugee, Parajok, Palotaka, Obbo, Magwe, Opari, Atepi, Sudan

In November, 2009 Evangelist Peter Waru and his 9 person evangelism team traveled east to Pugee, Parajok, Palotaka, Obbo, Magwe, Opari, and Atepi, Sudan. The team left Yei, Sudan on November 15 and returned on December 18.

The results of what God did through the evangelism team are listed below:

Approximately 65% of the new believers had been animists, and 5% had been Muslims. The JESUS Film was shown in the Madi and Acholi languages to mainly the Madi and Acholi tribes. Follow-up of the new believers will be done by the Evangelical Presbyterian Church and the African Inland Church. A total of 300 Madi New Testament and 300 Acholi bibles were distributed.

Discipleship training was conducted on “Knowing the Living God”. God reveals himself in more than one way. Even in his names he reveals the fullness and majesty of his being. Each name reflects something different. Here are some of the names of God.
