In January, 2007 Bishop Elias Taban and his 9 person evangelism team traveled northeast to the Terekeka Area of Sudan. The team left Yei, Sudan on January 17 and returned on February 2.

The results of what God did through the evangelism team are listed below:

Photo of Mundari woman and babyApproximately 65% of the new believers had been animists, and 5% had been Muslims. The JESUS Film was shown in the Bari language to the Mundari tribe (see photo of a Mundari woman and child at right).

Follow-up of the new believers will be handled by the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, the Episcopal Church of Sudan, and the Sudan Pentecostal Church. A total of 600 bibles were distributed in the Bari language. Bishop Taban reports that the church that was planted in Terekeka by a previous team is doing very well.

Discipleship follow-up training was conducted on ‘The Fellowship of All Believers.” The following verses were used in this teaching: 1 Corinthians 12:18-27; Ephesians 2:19-22; Matthew 18:20-22; 1 John 2:9-11; 1 Corinthians 3:3-9; John 13:13-17; John 17:20-23; Mark 9:38-42.
