Evangelism & Discipleship Training Trip – Rumu, Leiko, Aju, Bojuwe, Kaliga, and Irie, DRC
In October, 2006 Pastor Silvano Ayinya and his 11 person evangelism team traveled south to Rumu, Leiko, Aju, Bojuwe, Kaliga, and Irie, DRC. The team left Yei, Sudan on October 2 and returned on October 30. Pastor Ayinya is an African Inland Church pastor and is the pastor of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Rumu. We expect to use him extensively as leader of our evangelism and discipleship training teams in this part of the DRC.
The results of what God did through the evangelism team are listed below:

Approximately 55% of the new believers had been animists, and 5% had been Muslims. The JESUS Film was shown in the Lingala and Kakwa languages to mainly the Kakwa, and Lugbara tribes. Follow-up of the new believers will be handled by the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, the Pentecostal Church, and the Community Evangelical Church of the Congo (CECA). A total of 600 bibles were distributed with 400 bibles in the Kakwa language and 200 bibles in the Lingala language.
Our discipleship training concentrated on the theme “Fear of the Lord”. The team used the following scriptures in training: Psalms 19:9; 25:12-14; 34:9; 112:1; 145:17-19; 147:10-11; Proverbs 1:7; 9:10; 10:27; 14:26-27; 15:15, 33; 16:6; 19:23; Job 28:28; Malachi 3:16-17; Ecclesiastes 12:13-14.
