Evangelism & Discipleship Training Trip – Rhino Camp, Uganda

In April, 2006 Rev. Richard Onzima and his 9 person evangelism team traveled southeast to the Rhino Camp refugee camps in Uganda. The team left Yei, Sudan on April 15 and returned on May 7.

The results of what God did through the evangelism team are listed below:

Village Indicated Decisions For Christ
Camps 1-4 6,500
Rhino Town 1,300
Total 7,800

Approximately 50% of the new believers had been animists, and 5% had been Muslims. Also about 55% of the new believers were Lugbara and Madi Ugandans. The remainder of the new believers were Sudanese refugees waiting for the United Nations to return them to Sudan. The JESUS Film was shown in the Lugbara, Madi, and Kakwa languages to mainly the Madi, Acholi, Lugbara, and Kakwa tribes. EPC Uganda and the Church of Uganda will be in charge of the majority of the follow-up work with the new believers. A total of 450 bibles were distributed with 150 bibles distributed in each of the Lugbara, Madi, and Kakwa languages.
