Evangelism Trip – Weko, Domotolo, Doteko, Wulu, Wulu Junction, Malou, Sudan

In September, 2004 Pastor Jackson Yemba and his 11 person evangelism team traveled north to Weko, Domotolo, Doteko, Wulu, Wulu Junction, and Malou, Sudan. The team left Yei, Sudan on September 15 and returned on October 14.

The results of what God did through the evangelism team are listed below:

Town Indicated Decisions for Christ
Weko 800
Domotolo 640
Doteko 1,200
Wulu 720
Wulu Junction 900
Malou 480
Total 4,740

Approximately 60% of the new believers had been animists, and 10% had been Muslims. The JESUS Film was shown in the Dinka language to the Dinka tribe. Follow-up of the new believers will be handled by the Evangelical Presbyterian Church and the Episcopal Church of Sudan. A total of 350 bibles were distributed in the Dinka language.

The team reported that the churches that we planted in Wulu and Malou in 2003 are doing fine. In our previous trip to Wulu in June 2003 some local authorities persecuted our team, but this time the authorities were very friendly. These local authorities had noticed the changed lives of those who were born again, so their attitude towards our team changed.
