Evangelism Trip – Yirol, Pagarau, Kap, Adior, Melek, Abang, Akot, Aluakluak, Mpodit, Sudan

In March, 2004 Pastor Steven Dada and his 19 person evangelism team traveled north to Yirol, Pagarau, Kap, Adior, Melek, Abang, Akot, Aluakluak, and Mpodit, Sudan. The team left Yei, Sudan on March 16 and returned on May 20.

The results of what God did through the evangelism team are listed below:

Approximately 55% of the new believers had been animists, and 11% had been Muslims. The JESUS Film was shown in the Dinka language to the Dinka tribe. Two new Presbyterian churches were planted in Abang and Melek. Follow-up of the new believers will be handled by the new Presbyterian churches, the Episcopal Church of Sudan, and the Gospel Apostolic Church. A total of 500 bibles were distributed in the Dinka language. During the evangelism trip there was fighting in the area. Three new believers were killed in Akot several days after the team had left.
