Evangelism Trip Ezo, Nambori, Andar, Naandi, Bagidi, Sudan
In September, 2003 Pastor Jackson Yemba and his 9 person evangelism team traveled 2 1/2 days west to Ezo, Nambori, Andar, Naandi, and Bagidi, Sudan. The team left Yei, Sudan on September 19 and returned on October 4. During this evangelism trip a total of 8,300 people indicated they received Christ. Approximately 60% of the new believers had been animists, and 10% had been Muslims. The JESUS Film was shown in the Zande language. The tribes reached were the Zande from Sudan, and the Zande from the Central African Republic. Also, many people were healed of various illnesses and many charms were burned. Ezo is on the border of Sudan, the Central African Republic, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Three new Presbyterian churches were planted during this evangelism trip. One new church was planted in Ezo, and one new church was planted in Andar. Finally, one new church was planted in Nambori. Follow-up of the new believers will be handled by the new Presbyterian churches, and the Sudan Pentecostal Church. The evangelism team distributed 300 Bibles in the Zande language to believers who could read.
