Evangelism Trip – Kawari, Tindilo, and Tali Post, Sudan

In August, 2003 Pastor Scopus Lokudu Amos and his 9 person evangelism team traveled 1 day north to Kawari, Tindilo, and Tali Post, Sudan. The team left Yei, Sudan on August 18 and returned on August 30. Many miracles happened during this trip as 72 people were healed of various sicknesses including demon possession. During this evangelism trip a total of 6,500 people indicated they received Christ. The JESUS Film was shown in the Bari language. Approximately 60% of the new believers had been animists, and 10% had been Muslims. The tribes reached were the Bari, Nyagwara, and Mundari.

One new Presbyterian church was planted in Tindilo. Another new Presbyterian church was planted in Tali Post. Follow-up of the new believers will be handled by the two new Presbyterian churches, the Sudan Pentecostal Church, and the Episcopal Church of Sudan. The evangelism team distributed 350 Bibles in the Bari language to born again believers who could read.
